You don't need another article. You need an hour with someone who's done this a thousand times.
Sixty minutes with me, one-on-one. You leave with a recording and a written one-page action plan in your inbox within 48 hours, plus a follow-up call a few weeks later, when you've hit the thing you didn't see coming. $349.

I know exactly what your Tuesday looks like.
Up early. Get yourself together. Get the kids out the door. Call to check on your parent. Work. Check again at lunch. School pickup, practice, dinner. Check the meds. Get home to your spouse and your own kids. Make sure Mom or Dad got to bed.
Then do it again Wednesday.
And somewhere in the middle of that, something changed. A fall. A hospital stay. A phone call from a neighbor. A moment where you looked at your parent and thought: this isn't working anymore, and I have no idea what to do next.
Here's what nobody tells you until you're already in it.
Medicare does not pay for non-medical home care. Not for someone to help your dad shower. Not for someone to sit with your mom so she isn't alone all day. Families find that out at the worst possible moment, usually standing in a hospital hallway, being asked to make a decision by tomorrow.
And the free advice? The referral services that will happily help you find a place for Mom? Most of them are paid a commission by the communities they send you to. That's not a scandal, it's just the business model. But it means the person guiding you has a stake in where you land.
You deserve one hour with someone who doesn't.
I've sat on both sides of this table.
I ran a home care agency for 11 years and sold it in 2025. In that time my company cared for more than a thousand families. I know what the agencies say and what they mean. I know which questions get real answers and which ones get a brochure. I know what things actually cost.
And I've spent 25 years caring for my own grandparents, my parents, and my kids, a lot of it at the same time. I've lived your Tuesday. I'm still living it.
I take no referral fees. Ever.No commissions, no kickbacks, no finder's fees from any agency, community, placement service, or vendor. Nothing I tell you is influenced by who's paying me, because the only person paying me is you.
Not for emergencies. If someone is in immediate danger or a medical crisis, call 911. If you suspect elder abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation, contact Adult Protective Services in your state. Please don't wait for a scheduled call with me.
Three ways to work with me.
Ask Me Anything
One burning question, answered straight. Good when you know exactly what you're stuck on and you just need someone who's seen it before to tell you the truth.
Includes the call and a recording.
Book thisCare Strategy Session + Follow-Up
We go through your whole situation: where your parent is now, what's changed, what you've already tried, what you're afraid of. Then we build the plan. A few weeks after, we get back on for 30 minutes to see what actually worked and adjust what didn't.
Includes a short intake form you fill out before we talk, so we don't spend your hour on background, the call, a recording you can share with your siblings, a written one-page action plan in your inbox within 48 hours, and the follow-up call whenever you need it in the next 60 days.

Care Navigation Intensive
Assess, decide, implement. For when this isn't one decision, it's a season: a move, a diagnosis, a family that isn't agreeing.
Includes everything above, three times, plus a written plan after each session. Use within 90 days.
Saves $150 versus booking three separately.
Book thisMost advice fails in week two, not week one. That's what the follow-up is for.
You won't leave with a feeling. You'll leave with a page.
Most conversations about this end with "hang in there" and a list of websites. That's not what this is.
Within 48 hours of our call you get a one-page plan: the specific next steps, in the order to do them, with what to ask and who to ask. It's built so you can forward it to your brother who lives out of state and have him actually understand what's happening.
If it misses the mark, tell me within 7 days and I'll rewrite it. Once, at no charge, no argument.
Let me be straight about what I don't do.
I'm not a doctor, a nurse, a social worker, a licensed care manager, a patient advocate, or an attorney, and I don't pretend to be. This is education and strategy, drawn from experience. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice.
I won't review medical records. I won't call your parent's doctor or insurance company for you. I won't place anyone anywhere or point you at a specific facility. I won't prepare or interpret a legal document. When something belongs to a licensed professional, I'll tell you exactly which kind to go find and what to ask them, and that's where my part ends.
This also isn't therapy or a support group. Both of those are valuable and you may need one. This is the strategy conversation.
Book this if…
- Something just changed and you don't know what the next three moves are
- You're being asked to make a decision about your parent by a date you didn't choose
- You've been told to "look into home care" and have no idea what that means or costs
- Your siblings disagree and you need something in writing that isn't your opinion
- You've been Googling for two weeks and every answer contradicts the last one
Don't book this if…
- You need someone to physically go check on your parent. That's a local care manager, and I'll help you know what to look for in one.
- You want ongoing weekly support. I don't offer that.
- You're looking for free advice. I've put a lot of that on this site already: start here.
Questions
Is this medical advice?
No. I'm not a clinician and I don't give medical advice. I'll help you understand the landscape and know what to ask the people who do.
Will my insurance or Medicare cover this?
No. This isn't a reimbursable service and I don't bill insurance.
Do you recommend specific agencies or facilities?
No, and I take no referral fees from any of them. I'll teach you how to evaluate one, what to ask, and what a bad answer sounds like.
I don't live in Texas. Does that matter?
Not at all. Sessions are virtual and I work with families nationwide.
What if I don't know what to ask?
That's normal, and it's what the intake form is for. Tell me what's happening in your own words. I'll find the questions.
Can my sibling or spouse join?
Yes. Put them on the call. It's often the most useful thing you can do; it means you're not the only one who heard it.
Do I need to send medical records?
Please don't. I don't review them and I don't want them in my inbox. Just tell me what's going on.
What if I need to reschedule?
Free, up to 24 hours before your session, using the link in your confirmation. Inside 24 hours I can't refill the slot, so it counts as used and the full fee applies. Same if you don't join the call. Your call is Thursday at 2:00 PM? Reschedule by Wednesday at 2:00 PM.
When do I use the follow-up call?
Whenever you need it, within 60 days. Most people use it two to four weeks out, once they've made a few calls and hit something they didn't expect. You book it yourself with the link in your plan email.
What if it wasn't helpful?
Tell me within 7 days and I'll rewrite your action plan once, free. I don't refund delivered sessions; my calendar is genuinely small and that hour was held for you.
Do you work with home care agency owners?
Yes, separately. See For Owners.
Booking means you agree to the Consulting Client Agreement. You'll confirm the key points with five quick checkboxes before you pay.
You've been carrying this by yourself for a while now. You don't have to figure out the next part alone.Book a session
